Education is my Right – 5th Center at Village Garyakol, Gorakhpur, UP

Gorayakol is a village located approximately 40 kilometers away from Gorakhpur district. The total population of the village is around 2200. The majority of the population depends on agriculture and labor for their livelihood. The village does not have a school up to the 12th grade, so children have to travel about 8 kilometers to Hata for education.

Most children in the village, after completing education up to the 12th grade, leave their studies and engage in farming, agricultural work, and labor. There is a need to provide motivation to the children here to shape their future and support those who are willing to progress.

On December 30, 2023, a program was organized in Gorayakol, Gorakhpur district, under the “Education is My Right” initiative by the B-Educated Movement. The program aimed to address the educational needs of the village, encouraging children to pursue their education for a brighter future.

1. Health Checkup:
   • Children Enrolled: 54
   • BMI, Hygiene Check, and Vision Test Conducted
2. Unity Race:
   • Total Participants: 54 (divided into two groups)
   • 4 Trees Planted with yearlong care promised by the winners.
3. IQ Tests:
   • Group A (1st and 2nd Graders): 5 participants
   • Group B (3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders): 23 participants
   • Group C (6th, 7th, and 8th Graders): 16 participants
   • Group D (9th and 11th Graders): 9 participants
